Kirkwood emergency roof repair, at a glance
Call first, then protect what you can inside: move furniture and electronics, set a bucket under the drip, and if a ceiling is bulging with water, poke a small hole to drain it into the bucket in a controlled spot. Do not go up on the roof in the dark or during a storm. That part is our job.
What counts as a roofing emergency
- Water actively dripping or running into the house
- A tree or large limb resting on the roof
- Shingles or sections of decking torn off by wind
- A ceiling that is bulging or sagging
- Flashing ripped loose at a chimney or wall
Kirkwood has a lot of large, old trees, and wind storms bring limbs down on roofs here every year. If a limb is still on the roof, keep everyone out of the rooms underneath it and call us.
What happens when you call
A live person answers
No phone tree. We take your address and what you are seeing.
We schedule a crew
You get an honest arrival window based on conditions and how many calls are coming in.
Temporary protection
Tarps fastened over the damaged area, or a sealed patch where a tarp is not needed.
Photos for your records
We document the damage before and after the temporary fix, which helps if you file a claim.
Permanent repair in daylight
Once the weather clears, we inspect fully and give you a written estimate.
While you wait, keep pets and kids away from wet ceilings and turn off power to any room where water is near a light fixture or outlet. Take photos of the inside damage for your insurer before you clean anything up.
After the emergency: insurance and repairs
Storm damage is often covered by homeowners insurance. Call your insurer to open a claim, and keep receipts for anything you spent to prevent more damage. Our photos and written scope give the adjuster a clear record, and we can be on the roof during the adjuster's inspection. Our insurance claims page walks through the process.
If the damage is limited, a repair may be all you need. If the storm finished off a roof that was already near the end, we will tell you that too and price both options.
Why Kirkwood calls us in the middle of the night
We have been a family-run roofing company since 1947 and are now in our third generation. Our phones are answered live around the clock because storms do not keep business hours.
