Maryland Heights storm damage repair, at a glance
Storm damage on a Maryland Heights roof is usually invisible from the ground, because wind creases lie back down and hail bruises show nothing until the granules wash off and the mat begins to fail. That is why the inspection is free and the photographs matter. Call (314) 429-6000 any hour and we'll document it properly.
What wind and hail leave behind
Wind damage shows up first at the rakes, ridges and hips, where uplift is strongest. A tab gets folded back, the sealant strip breaks, and the tab lays down again looking untouched. The bond is gone though, and the next storm takes it off entirely. We find those by hand, not from the driveway.
Hail is different. It fractures the fiberglass mat under the granules, so the damage is structural before it's visible. Granule loss on its own is cosmetic. A fractured mat is not, and it typically won't leak for a few years while UV and freeze-thaw work the fracture open. Adjusters mark a test square on each elevation and count impacts inside it, which is exactly how we document it too.
Soft metals date the storm. Gutter aprons, vent caps, downspouts and the fins on an air conditioner condenser all dent, and those dents give a timeline that supports the claim. We photograph them along with the roof.
How we handle a claim
We document and we advocate. We do not decide your claim, and we do not play games with your deductible.
Free documented inspection
Every slope photographed, damage counted per elevation, findings written down.
Scope your adjuster can read
Line items in the format carriers work from, not a one-line bid.
Adjuster meeting on site
We climb with them so the same damage gets counted once, correctly.
Supplement handling
Hidden decking, code items and details missed on the first pass, submitted with evidence.
Repair or replace
Whichever the damage actually supports. Isolated slopes get repaired.
Straight talk on deductibles
Yours is yours. Waiving it is fraud in Missouri and we won't take part.
Storm response steps
Stabilize
If it's open and raining, we tarp it first. That comes before any conversation about a claim.
Inspect and photograph
Free, thorough, and written up whether you file or not.
You decide
If the damage is minor and under your deductible, we'll tell you and quote the repair directly.
Build it back
Our own crews, correct flashing, corrected ventilation, lifetime workmanship warranty.

Why local matters after a storm

Every hailstorm brings out-of-state crews into St. Louis County with a magnetic sign and a rented truck. Some are fine. Many are gone before the workmanship warranty is worth anything, and a warranty you can't reach is not a warranty.
Our yard is in Maryland Heights. Three generations of the same family have run this company here since 1947, we're Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, BBB A+ rated, and listed in Roofing Contractor Magazine's Top 100. If something needs attention in year six, we're still on Prichard Farm Road.
Maryland Heights storm damage questions
Should I file a claim before you inspect?
Inspect first. If the damage is real, you'll file with photographs and a written scope in hand, which makes the process shorter. If it isn't, you've avoided putting a claim on your record for nothing.
Will filing raise my premium?
That's between you and your carrier, and we won't pretend to know their rules. What we can do is tell you honestly whether the damage is likely to exceed your deductible.
My neighbor's roof was approved and mine was denied. Why?
Elevations catch hail differently depending on wind direction, tree cover and slope orientation. It's common for one house to have a damaged west slope while the house next door has nothing. If we think the denial missed something, we'll document it and support a re-inspection.
How long after a storm can I file?
Policies set their own deadlines and they vary. Sooner is always better, because the evidence weathers and the storm date gets harder to tie to the damage.
Do you charge for the inspection or the adjuster meeting?
Neither. The inspection, the photographs, the written scope and meeting your adjuster on the roof are all part of what we do at no cost.
