Our Warranty, at a glance
Those are two different documents covering two different failures, and we explain which is which before you sign.

Workmanship versus material
Most leaks in the first fifteen years of a roof's life are workmanship, not material. That's the one worth having in writing.
What keeps a warranty valid
Installation to manufacturer specification: correct nail count and placement, proper starter and ridge components, and balanced ventilation. Skip any of it and the material warranty can be voided, which the homeowner discovers years later.
It's a reason to ask any contractor what ventilation plan they're specifying. If the answer is vague, keep asking.
A warranty is only as good as the company
A lifetime promise from an outfit that appeared after the last hail storm is not worth much. We've been in this metro since 1947 and the same family still runs it.
What voids coverage
Installing outside manufacturer specification is the big one - wrong nail count, nails too high, missing starter strip, unbalanced ventilation. Pressure washing a shingle roof will do it too.
Structural problems and other trades working on the roof afterward are separate matters. Call us before anyone cuts a hole for a vent or a satellite mount.
How to make a claim
Call (314) 429-6000 and tell us it's a warranty call. We'll get someone out to look, and if the failure is workmanship it gets fixed at no charge to you.
Keep your contract and final invoice. They identify the job, the materials and the date.
Transferability
Manufacturer warranties commonly transfer once to a new homeowner within a set window, and terms vary by product line. We'll tell you exactly what your specific system carries.
It's worth knowing at resale. A transferable system warranty is a real selling point.
